Philip is best known for his Landscape paintings of the Hampshire countryside.  Philip is an artist who has also taught and restored art. 

On this site you will find a selection of original paintings for sale - oil paintings, watercolour paintings, acrylic paintings for sale. Philip's art is both modern and traditional.  All paintings on this site are original and offered for sale.

Philip trained as a surveyor, he worked for the Ordnance Survey based in Southampton until 1939.  For the duration of World War II he served as a surveyor in the Royal Engineers in the Middle East and Germany.

After the war Philip attended the Southern College of Art and obtained a Double National Diploma (NDD) in Illustration and Painting.   He won a traveling scholarship to study in the Paris ateliers (1951).  A resident of Southampton for many years Philip is now living and painting in Somerset.
